Is Nexperia the same as NXP?
Nexperia was NXP's Standard Products division until 2017, when it was spun off and sold to Wingtech Technology. NXP retained the high-performance mixed-signal, RF, automotive and security businesses. Nexperia continues to manufacture the classic NXP discrete and logic portfolio (1N4148, 74HC series, 2N7002, BSS138) under the Nexperia brand, with the same fabs, processes and quality systems.
Are Nexperia parts automotive-qualified?
Most Nexperia catalog parts have an automotive-qualified variant with the "A" or "Q" suffix (e.g. 2N7002AK, BSS138AK, 74HCT595A) carrying AEC-Q100 (ICs) or AEC-Q101 (discretes) qualification and PPAP documentation. Specify the automotive suffix on your RFQ if your design targets automotive applications.
What is Nexperia's lead time?
Nexperia authorized channel currently quotes 4-8 weeks for most discretes and logic, which is significantly shorter than TI or ST due to Nexperia's high-volume, mature process nodes. Our Shenzhen warehouse holds stock of the highest-volume SKUs for 1-2 day shipment.
