SIMCom Wireless Solutions is one of the world's largest cellular module suppliers, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Shanghai, with production shipments that have exceeded hundreds of millions of modules. SIMCom's catalog spans 2G/3G legacy modules, LTE Cat 1 and Cat 4 modules, 5G modules and GNSS receivers, and its parts power a huge share of the world's vehicle trackers, payment terminals, smart meters and industrial routers. The SIM800L is the ubiquitous low-cost 2G GSM/GPRS module behind countless IoT projects; the A7670E is the modern LTE Cat 1 replacement with 2G fallback, designed for markets retiring GSM; and the SIM7600G-H is a global-band LTE Cat 4 module with 150 Mbps downlink for bandwidth-hungry applications. SIMCom modules are AT-command driven and supported by mature drivers for Linux, Windows and mainstream RTOSes. Our Shenzhen warehouse stocks SIM800L, A7670E and SIM7600G-H from SIMCom authorized distribution, with IMEI and firmware screening on every lot.
The SIM800L in particular is heavily counterfeited — fake modules use remarked or salvaged chipsets with poor GSM sensitivity, dropped calls and invalid IMEIs that networks reject. We source from SIMCom authorized distribution, then verify every lot by reading AT+CGMM/AT+CGMR firmware identity, checking IMEI validity against the GSMA allocation ranges for SIMCom, registering the module on a live network, and measuring RF sensitivity on samples. Modules ship in original SIMCom packaging with traceable labels.
SIMCom still manufactures the SIM800L, and 2G networks remain operational across much of Asia, Africa, the Middle East and parts of Europe — but the sunset is real: the US, Australia, Singapore and others have already switched GSM off, and more countries follow each year. For new designs deploying into markets with uncertain 2G futures, choose the A7670E (LTE Cat 1 with 2G fallback) or SIM7600G-H (global LTE Cat 4). We can quote all three on one RFQ so you can compare landed cost against network risk.
The -G suffix means global band coverage: SIM7600G-H supports LTE-FDD bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/18/19/20/25/26/28 and TDD bands 38/39/40/41, making a single SKU deployable almost worldwide, plus 3G/2G fallback. Regional variants (SIM7600E-H for Europe, -A for North America, -SA for South Asia) trim the band list for cost. All share the same LGA footprint, AT command set and USB interface, so one PCB can host any variant.
SIMCom is a Shanghai-headquartered manufacturer with China-based production, so authorized lead times are short by Western standards: 4-8 weeks for factory orders, often faster. Our Shenzhen warehouse holds SIM800L, A7670E and SIM7600G-H stock for 1-2 day shipment, and for volume production runs we can arrange direct SIMCom factory shipment with full C-of-C.
