Yes — ON Semiconductor rebranded to onsemi in 2021 as part of a strategic pivot toward industrial and automotive power electronics. Part numbers, datasheets and quality systems are unchanged; only the corporate brand and logo on packaging have transitioned. You may see both "ON Semiconductor" and "onsemi" markings on parts depending on production date.
Are onsemi discretes automotive-qualified?
Most onsemi discretes have automotive-qualified variants with the "H" or "Q" suffix (e.g. BSS138HT1G, MMBT3904HT1G) carrying AEC-Q101 qualification and PPAP documentation. Specify the automotive suffix on your RFQ if your design targets automotive applications.
