HT7533 vs AMS1117-3.3 — when should I use which?
HT7533 for battery-powered designs under 100 mA load: 4 µA quiescent current saves months of battery life versus AMS1117's 5 mA. AMS1117 for USB-powered or mains-powered designs needing 500 mA to 1 A: higher current capacity at 20× the quiescent draw. They are NOT pin-compatible — HT7533 is SOT-89 with Vin-GND-Vout left-to-right; AMS1117 is SOT-223 with GND-Vout-Vin.
